In reference to the kidnapping incident with the Castro brother, is there anything that could have been done by RLSHs?
What lessons could be learned from that incident by the RLSHs as a whole?
What can the movement do to help in other cases such as this?
Is this outside the scope of RLSHs?
I feel so sorry for those young girls/women. It bothers me that it took SO long to find them and how many more are still trapped?
It makes me wonder the impossible... such as, if there were RLSHs patrolling and checking on empty or boarded up dwellings, would they have found them?
The truth is... that the VERY neighborhood they were in was one that many people didn't visit. To expect RLSHs to go into those areas, would be unrealistic. I just know, that the police, rarely get out to patrol them or to check empty/boarded up locations.
I know that I shouldn't hope that RLSHs would develop an action plan from something like this... but it doesn't mean that I can't wish.
Hey I saw this and decided "might as well say something"
As RLSH we are very limited in resources when it comes to searching for missing people. Especially in this case, we all I would assume look at local news of recent events but when it comes to kidnapping and missing persons there is little we can do if we don't know what we are looking for or who we are looking for in this matter. If some one was there to witness the actual kidnapping then that will be a diffrent picture since its happening infront of you, but when it comes to a case where it has already been done then we are limited. We can do local patrols of areas that are in close proximinity if there wasn't a car involved, if there was we can get the type the color and even see if the plates were visable that some one reported, but even that is limited. All we can do is keep tabs on lurkers people who are around at any given time at locations that seem to have a low volume of traffic but a high volume when school is over or even before.
If you can remember faces even go to the point (if not in your suit) strike up a conversation with the people you see around at those particular time, they will give you a name if you start talking and seem you are just a friendly guy, don't ask the reason why they are there though to make them suspicious just talk and sooner or later they will give information. If somthing does occur you have a list of every one you spoke to there will bound to be some one who fits the kidnappers discription and you'll already have a name.
I only know of prevention before a kidnapping happens when it is done and you actually follow these guidlines it may help the police more then you know, other then that there is little a costumed activist can do. You can look for suspicious activity but the thing about kidnappers is once they got there target they will try to leave as quickly as possible and with that rush mentality they will not pay attention to anything els, its a good thing and a bad thing for investigators. They have a very small window to cunjure and find fresh evidence, and that's the thing time is against them. By the time some one reports a missing person, that person is across a couple countys or towns.
So just be aware of the people who are around schools who don't need to be or routes where students or really any one walks. Its harder to see that in parks as well but nothing wrong in friendly chatter with a person who is always around the same area at that particular time.
This is just my opinion, and I have done this a lot especially when I use to help out family members and even friends who found it unsettling to know there daughters or sons or even my cousins walking and taking public transit. Mind you they all knew I was close by.
Omen: Get in line, I have been working like crazy also. I have two major projects I have to finish and hopefully everything slows down. Haven't had time to log into the board... I actually miss it. It feels good popping my head in to see what's going on.

g40t90yes: Good Morning. Now I am no political activist, but with is going on in today's activist world, I have a question. Last Sunday Vice President Pence walked out of a Colts Football game because the Players took a knee. I would like to read your View about this

g40t90yes: Continue. Now The NFL Owners (Jones-Cowboys, Ross-Dolphins) are going to demand their players stand for the Anthem. Again just thinking out loud. Couple of weeks ago Owners (Jones) knelt with players. Now you are pulling back. Why??

g40t90yes: One more thing. Some people view The NFL Draft and NBA Draft as a modern day or fashionable auction block for black young men. Thoughts!!! Please.

The Muse: Im sure there are going to be a lot of thoughts on this...why not start a thread on the topic under the "chat" board. It will be easier for everyone to read and comment on it there. This shoutbox is kinda cumbersome to have to scroll through to read stuff.

Omen: I don't know... some say time goes around in circles - for me, its just a dreary long squiggly line, in some places in its a smile, in others... its not.
