Ok the last 2 images are a collaboration between werewolf and myself. The last photo is the main villain in his novel named Seth Blackthorn. He knew I was handy at portraits so he asked me if I could do one of Christopher Pennock an actor from the Dark Shadows tv series. So I drew it and colorized it and mailed it to him. He took it and improved it ten fold by aging the character and vastly improving the shading.
In the image prior to that it began when werewolf sent me a room he had drawn and colorized. I asked him if I could use that as a background. I then drew the spirit attacking the girl. Since I must have a model to look at or I can't draw a straight line I looked at a photo of Christopher Lee as Dracula attacking an actress. The spirit is that of Simon Magus turned psychic vampire. (You'll read more about that when you read The 13th Cycle.
Ok so next I had to get my two characters onto werewolf's background so I took it to a friend who is a whiz on a computer and she was able to photo shop my image onto his and make them transparent like I asked her to do. I then took the original image and color copied it and cut the female out like a paper doll and used a glue stick to put her over the top of her transparent version making her look solid and Simon transparent. I then color copied that and sent it back to werewolf and he once again vastly improved the shading on the woman and Simon's eyes.
I'll let werewolf tell you about the rest. Knight-Hood
the more traditional werewolf was one l did first, years ago. Later l decided the head should be more wolflike as in more modern films. To fit the story better l made the trees bare as most of the leaves would've fallen be the time it took place at least near the novel's climax. l've since decided to revert to the more classic wolfman look so l might do a third picture at some point. l liked the pose which was why l reused it. The first image though not based upon any particular actors was influenced strongly by the later Hammer Dracula films especially DRACULA AD 1972.That's why although the picture was drawn in the early 80's it depicts the late 60's.But as l've mentioned l'm very fond of that era so l often hark ack to it.l like the cars , fashion , music and so on better than more recent decades. My novel occurs in 1982 in part because l wanted the hero to derive from a 60s/70s band and there needed to be a period of seclusion after that. At one point it was set in 1993 but l preferred him to be nearer in age to the heroine and couldn't figure out a good plot reason the 1982 opportunity was not used
Greetings, Knight-Hood speaking. Since it is for the cover art of Vrykolakos feel free to go ahead and colorize it. Color will catch the attention of prospective buyers far better than black and white. I would colorize it myself but I suck at it and have every confidence in your ability to do a better job of it than I. I have always been a pencil sketcher at best. So once completed just mail it to me at John Reid, P.O. Box 55403, St. Petersburg, Fl. 33732 and then I will reduce it if necessary and scan it onto my computer so I can send it to the Muse via email. Thanks again for taking the time to add your art to this project, I know how hectic your life is these days so I definitely appreciate you doing this. I have full confidence in whatever cover you came up with. I know it has to be miles better than the ridiculous unrelated cover that Publish America came up with for it. Thanks again Knight-Hood
l've completed three variant color schemes and l'll send a black and white version too.Two are basicly monochromatic in warm and cool shades and the third more naturalistic. lt's sort of like comic book cover varients. l thought l'de give you a range to choose from.l hope you like them. l'll be sending them out on Monday.
Omen: Get in line, I have been working like crazy also. I have two major projects I have to finish and hopefully everything slows down. Haven't had time to log into the board... I actually miss it. It feels good popping my head in to see what's going on.

g40t90yes: Good Morning. Now I am no political activist, but with is going on in today's activist world, I have a question. Last Sunday Vice President Pence walked out of a Colts Football game because the Players took a knee. I would like to read your View about this

g40t90yes: Continue. Now The NFL Owners (Jones-Cowboys, Ross-Dolphins) are going to demand their players stand for the Anthem. Again just thinking out loud. Couple of weeks ago Owners (Jones) knelt with players. Now you are pulling back. Why??

g40t90yes: One more thing. Some people view The NFL Draft and NBA Draft as a modern day or fashionable auction block for black young men. Thoughts!!! Please.

The Muse: Im sure there are going to be a lot of thoughts on this...why not start a thread on the topic under the "chat" board. It will be easier for everyone to read and comment on it there. This shoutbox is kinda cumbersome to have to scroll through to read stuff.

The Muse: Where does the time go?
Nov 7, 2017 9:26:16 GMT -5
Omen: I don't know... some say time goes around in circles - for me, its just a dreary long squiggly line, in some places in its a smile, in others... its not.
